How to Make Peach Juice
If you don’t want to hunt around numerous stores for peach juice, it is quite simple to make at home. This also helps you avoid any additional sugars or additives, which are often included in store-bought varieties. Many people choose to add extra honey or a dash of lime/lemon juice for extra flavor but the natural sweetness of peaches is usually enough.
- 4-5 peaches
- 1 cup of water
- 2-3 ice cubes
- 1 teaspoon of sugar, if necessary
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, if desired
Step 1 – Thoroughly wash the peaches and then cut them in half. Remove the stone and the flesh immediately surrounding it.
Step 2 – Scoop out the tender meat of the peach from the skin.
Step 3 – Add the peaches, water, sugar and ice to a blender.
Step 4 – Blend thoroughly for 1-2 minutes, until the consistency of the juice is even and smooth.
Step 5 – If the juice is still too thick, add more water and re-blend.
Step 6 – Strain the mixture through a sieve or cheesecloth into another container.
Step 7 – Press or squeeze the remaining fibrous material (pulp) to get as much juice out as possible.
Step 8 – Serve your juice chilled and enjoy!
